There’s an interesting post over at China Web 2.0 Review — out to seek a leader in a blog market of 200 million and counting. A recent Baidu report quotes Q-zone from QQ as the most visited service.
Interestingly enough, Sina’s blog services are only fifth in rank. Xu Jinglei’s blog — an extremely popular blog in mainland China — is hosted with Sina; yet her glamor and fame did not propel Sina to Numero Uno. Also interesting is the presence of Xiaonei.com, the so-called “Facebook of China”.
There’s an emerging competitor in all these stats, by the way: keep your eyes peeled for MySpace China. Merely 12th last year, this site has a good chance to make it big this year.
